Created by Kevin Eastman and Peter Laird, the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (shortened to Ninja Turtles or TMNT) are four teenage anthropomorphic turtles named after Renaissance Italian artists. Trained in the art of ninjutsu, Donatello, Leonardo, Michelangelo, and Raphael fight crime and evil from their home in New York City's sewers.

TMNT mini-figures and collectibles have appeared in vast numbers since the Turtles originated in 1984 in comic books published by Mirage Studios. The team's popularity has expanded over the ensuing years into animated and live-action television series, feature films, video and tabletop games, and tons of themed products.
